Why does the Cosmos 4K SE projected image have a gray border?

Thank you for your support of our product.

The presence of a border on the projection screen is due to some inherent characteristics of the DLP display technology. If you adjust the angle of the projector to align it directly with the screen, the gray border will become narrower.

Our projector uses DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) to adjust the image. Due to the design of the DMD, there will be a certain inactive area at the edges. When light hits this inactive area, it forms a gray shadow at the edge of the image. This is an inherent characteristic of the DMD system.

Keystone correction cuts the tilted image produced by side projection into a normal rectangular image. Essentially, this increases the inactive area on the DMD that does not emit light. Therefore, when keystone correction is turned off and the projector is used in a standard front projection mode, the gray border will be narrower.

If the above solutions cannot solve your issue, please contact NEBULA Customer Support at support@seenebula.com for further assistance.
