In our official tests, the 4 speakers, when placed appropriately (in corners or surrounds), can output a stable ≥80 dB in a core listening area of about 80 square meters.
The feeling of 80dB: equivalent to playing full, bass music in the living room, melody and lyrics clearly recognizable, rhythmic but not harsh. At this loudness, normal conversations require a slight increase in volume to be heard.
Reference Values:
- Commercial theater tuning standard for the white zone is about 75 dB
- 65~75 dB is recommended for home viewing.
- 75~85 dB is recommended for outdoor viewing
Therefore, this unit provides 80 dB of coverage in 80 m², which is more than enough for most home viewing, and is sufficient for small to medium sized outdoor events.
For reference on the number of people:
- When there is no obvious noise interference outdoors, the 80m² listening area can comfortably accommodate around 80~100 people (equivalent to an audience area of 10 x 8 meters).
- If the crowd is more dispersed, or if you need to cover a larger venue of 150~200 people, you can expand the area by pulling the placement of the speakers, or increasing the playback volume, but the volume of the peripheral audience will be attenuated.
- The power of the device is 400W, which has been optimized for most outdoor community events, so you can get a good sound effect without any external sound system.
About external speakers:
- The current model does not support wired or wireless external third-party extension speakers or mixers; if you need wider coverage, you can use our 7.1.4 loudness mode to enhance the loudness.
