iOS devices support AirPlay and while the Nebula projector does not have AirPlay preloaded, you can still manually enable it. AirPlay is based on WiFi rather than Bluetooth. Please note that copyrighted content from streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, MAX, ITVX, Amazon Prime video, and the DRM video cannot be screen-mirrored and cast via airplay.
Casting video via Chromecast
For some Chromecast-enabled apps like Disney+, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video, you can try to cast the video from the app on the iPhone via Chromecast.
- Launch the Chromecast-enabled app on the mobile device.
- On the app screen, tap the Chromecast built-in icon.
3. Select the device model (the projector name)
4. Tap Play to start playback. The content will begin to play on the selected projector.
Screen Mirroring Your iPhone or iPad to the Projector
- Install the "Nebula Cast" app from Google Play Store to enable AirPlay on your projector
- Connect your iPhone or iPad and the Projector to the same Network. The network can be WiFi or your phone's hotspot.
- Enable Screen Mirroring on your iPhone or iPad in the control center.
- Choose Nebula Projector to connect when your Nebula shows up on the Screen Mirroring list.
Streaming Video From Your iPhone or iPad to the Projector
- Install the "Nebula Cast" app from Google Play Store to enable AirPlay on your projector
- Connect your iPhone or iPad and the Projector to the same network. The network can be WiFi or your phone's hotspot.
- Open the streaming apps you want to cast on the projector and select a video to play.
- Click the AirPlay icon or 'cast' icon located on the top right corner to cast to the projector.
Screen Mirroring From Your Mac to the Projector
- Install the "Nebula Cast" app from Google Play Store to enable AirPlay on your projector
- Connect your Mac and the projector to the same network. The network can be WiFi or your phone's hotspot.
- If the AirPlay icon is missing on the Mac, you can go to System Preferences → Display and select the Show mirroring option in the menu bar when available.
4.Click the "AirPlay" icon on the Mac and select the Nebula projector to start mirroring. When connected successfully, more mirroring options can be chosen by clicking the "AirPlay" icon.
- Now, you can select the projector to start AirPlay streaming. When you want to stop mirroring, please click the "AirPlay" icon again and then select "Turn AirPlay Off".
Note: When you open AirPlay on your Mac, you can see that the icon is blue when the function is active. Please note that on MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, the AirPlay icon will only be displayed in the menu bar when AirPlay mirroring is available. And DRM video can only be supported by casting via a HDMI cable on the Mac. If you cannot mirror properly, please contact us for further assistance.
