What type of wall surface is suitable for scanning?

Q: What type of wall surface is suitable for scanning?

A:Not all walls are created equal when it comes to scanning. Here's the breakdown:

Best: Flat brick walls, painted walls, concrete walls — these work like a charm

Okay: Flat wooden walls — they'll work, just make sure the surface is smooth

Skip it: Mirrors, clear glass, dark light-absorbing materials — the camera can't read them properly

Skip it: Windows or openings — unless you can cover them with curtains

Pro tip: Walls with a bit of texture or color actually scan better than a completely blank white surface!
