What should I do if my S1 Pro's Eco-Clean Ozone™ function is not working properly?
If your robot's Eco-Clean Ozone™ function is not working properly, please refer to the following common causes and solutions to resolve the issue.
Common Causes:
- The absence of bubbling in the base station's clean water tank.
- The Eco-Clean Ozone™ lamp does not light up.
- The ozone function is not enabled in the app, or the robot is in sleep mode.
Solutions:
- Water Quality Check and Replacement: Fill the clean water tank with tap water and do not use purified or filtered water. Please note that water quality can prevent the robot from functioning properly.
- Clean the Clean Water Tank: Empty the water from the clean water tank and inspect the bottom for dirt or grime. If the bottom of the clean water tank is dirty, please clean it thoroughly. If the bottom of the clean water tank cannot be cleaned, the clean water tank may need to be replaced.
- Bubble Generation Test: After cleaning the clean water tank, please fill the clean water tank with tap water and add according to the ratio of 0.1g of salt per 1L of water. Shake the clean water tank well and reattach it to the base station. Wait for five seconds to verify if bubbles can be generated.
- Check Connection Pins: If no bubbles are formed in the clean water tank, please remove the clean water tank and inspect the contact pins at the bottom of the tank for dirt and debris. If the bottom of the clean water tank is dirty, please clean it thoroughly.
- Use electrolyzed water to test if the Eco-Clean Ozone™ generation is functioning normally. If the Eco-Clean Ozone™ generation works with electrolyzed water, the issue is most definitely related to water quality. Note: It is normal if there are continuous bubbles; on the other hand, it is abnormal if there are sparse bubbles, and it may be that the water does not conduct electricity.
- It is recommended to rinse the clean water tank several times with tap water (ideally with a TDS around 75) before attempting to use it again. This is because adding soap water, cleaning agents, or other liquids with high conductivity to the base station's clean water tank can result in an overflow.
- Enable the ozone function in the app settings, and activate the Robot by starting tasks such as dust collection and mop washing to wake it from sleep mode. At this point, inserting and removing the clean water tank can trigger the ozone function.
- Check the power cord on the back of the base station to ensure it is firmly connected. A loose connection can prevent the base station from receiving power.
