What should I do if my 3-in-1 E20 robot vacuum misses cleaning certain areas?

If your E20 robot vacuum misses cleaning certain areas during its cleaning session, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Rooms

  • Verify that the room's door is open. If it is closed, the robot cannot go inside to clean.

  • If pets or items are blocking the door, please clear the items to ensure the door is not blocked.

  • Please note that the robot cannot access and clean the room if the threshold height is 20mm or higher. You can place a ramp to allow the robot to pass over the threshold.

  • If the room's floor has a dark carpet and the threshold height exceeds 12mm, please either change the carpet to a lighter shade or place a ramp on the uncarpeted side of the threshold to reduce its height to below 12mm. This occurs because when the threshold height exceeds 12mm, the robot's drop sensors will detect the threshold as a drop spot and trigger an error, a common issue with many robot models currently on the market.

  • If the room's floor has a carpet thicker than 25mm, the robot will not clean it. This precaution is taken because a carpet thicker than 25mm can generate significant resistance, potentially causing the roller brush to become stuck and triggering an error.

  • If a person or pet interferes with the robot during its cleaning session, it will alter its planned cleaning route. The missed areas will not be cleaned in this cleaning session but will be cleaned during the next cleaning session. Moreover, you can manually choose these missed areas on the map for the robot to clean.

  1. Carpets

  • The robot is designed to use laser detection to assess the height of the carpet and will not engage in cleaning if the thickness is greater than 25mm. This precaution is taken because a carpet thicker than 25mm can generate significant resistance, potentially causing the roller brush to become stuck and triggering an error.

  • If your carpet thickness is exactly 25mm, there may be inconsistencies in the carpet pile length and human measurement errors, causing the robot to not get up and down the carpet stably. Then, please flatten the edges of the carpet.

  • If your carpet measures between 15mm to 25mm in thickness, the robot's existing cleaning logic dictates that it will clean the floor first and then clean the carpet at the end.

  • If your robot experiences issues such as missing certain areas on carpets with a thickness ranging from 15mm to 25mm, please refer to the following images to customize the robot's cleaning map according to the thickness of each carpet.

  1. Small Rugs

Please note that if the rug measures 70x70cm or smaller, the robot might experience difficulty cleaning it. This is due to the rug size, which increases the chance of it being pulled into the roller brush compartment. We recommend setting a "No-go zone" to block off the area to prevent the robot from cleaning it; furthermore, you can also utilize the detachable handheld vacuum to clean it.
