Troubleshooting Guide for Motion Detection of 4G LTE Cam S330

How can I avoid the motion detection of 4G LTE Cam S330 missing events?

The motion detection range of 4G LTE Cam S330 is 115°. Motion outside of this range can not be detected. For missed motion within this range, see below for some common causes and potential solutions.

 
  1. Issue: The camera's motion detection sensitivity is set too low, causing motion events to be missed.
  • Solution: To minimize the possibility of missing motion events, you can increase the sensitivity level. Go to Camera Settings > Motion Detection and adjust the motion detection sensitivity accordingly.
 
  1. Issue: When the mode is set to “Optimal Battery Life”, continuous repeated motion detections will be ignored in the interest of preserving battery life, and in this case video of events may not be recorded.
  • Solution: Adjust the sensitivity to a lower level, or switch the working mode to "Optimal Surveillance”. After switching, the system will prioritize recording but may use more power while working.
 
  1. Issue: Small pets may not be detected if the device is installed too high.
  • Solution: If there are small pets at home that need to be detected, adjust the installation to a lower height.
 
  1. Issue: The video recording function is not enabled in safe mode.
  • Solution: Make sure you have enabled Video Record and Push Notifications in the security mode you have selected. You can go to Security > Home/Away > Home/Away Settings > Video Record & Push Notification.
 
  1. Issue: The device can not provide a live view and record at the same time. Recording will be paused while the "Live View", "Set Privacy Area”, or "Set Active Area" features are in use.
  • Solution: Avoid using these functions while the device is recording.
