Charging the Solar Wall Light Cam S120
💡Before you begin the installation process, it's crucial to fully charge your Solar Wall Light Cam S120. You'll need a standard USB-C to USB-C charging cable and a power adapter, both of which are not included with the camera.
💡Note: When the camera is charging, the LED will remain solid blue and will turn off when fully charged. Please don’t use the adapter included in the package for charging. That is to be used when connecting to an external solar panel.
Select a Mounting Location
The Solar Wall Light Cam S120 can be mounted on a wall or similar surfaces. Please make sure to choose a location where the solar panel will not be blocked by obstacles, such as a roof or eaves.
💡If it's impossible to avoid obstacles completely, try to ensure as much exposure to sunlight as possible. It is recommended to regularly monitor the battery power consumption via the eufy Security app in order to ensure your device receives enough power to continue operating.
💡If your Solar Wall Light Cam S120 cannot receive enough sunlight to recharge the device, it can also be charged manually. You can also connect an external eufy solar panel (with an adapter for the external solar panel) and place the external eufy solar panel at a location that can receive direct sunlight for a minimum of two hours on a daily basis.
Location Height
For optimal performance and field of view, it is highly recommended to mount the Solar Wall Light Cam S120 between 1.8-2.5m / 5.9-8.2ft above the ground. This height ensures the camera can adequately cover the area you would like to monitor.
Mount the Camera
1. Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the mounting points on the wall or surface where drilling will be required.
2. Drill holes in the wall or surface, then insert the expansion anchors into the holes.
💡 This step applies if you're mounting onto hard surfaces such as brick or concrete. For soft surfaces such as wood, you can skip this step.
3. Install the mounting bracket on the wall or surface.
4. Slot the camera onto the mounting bracket and ensure it is attached securely.
5. Insert and tighten the camera screw located at the bottom of the camera.
By following these steps, you should be able to install your Solar Wall Light Cam S120 successfully. If you encounter any issues during the installation process or have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us for assistance.
